Writing Center

Every writer needs an interested reader, and the Bethany Writing Center offers free, skilled peer feedback to student writers. The Writing Center can help at any point in the writing and revising process. Trained student tutors representing several majors are available to work with students who need help with brainstorming, organizing, thesis development, or revising for sense and meaning. While we are not a drop-off editing service, the Writing Center can also work with students on editing and local issues like citation, grammar, and mechanics. We welcome students with questions about all kinds of writing – professional emails, reports, research papers, creative work, and any other writing they do while at Bethany. The Writing Center believes that writing is a process and each friendly consultation is based on cooperative learning. Thirty-minute virtual and in-person tutoring sessions are available most days of the week. The Writing Center is a service of both the Student Success Center and the English, Theatre Arts, and Communication department.
